SIERRA HESA CHIEF

Blue Sierra Pine x Doc Bars Lil Bandit

2006 Sable Champagne Cream Dun, Triple Dilute

Only AQHA Sable (Champage) Cream Dun at Stud

AQHA, IBHA and ICHA Registered

15.2h, 100% Sound, UC Davis Tested

$12,500

Chief has 1 yr reined cow horse training, shown in roping.  Would make powerful head horse.  Elegant mover. He is a gentleman with excellent manners.  Trail rides and camps with any gender horse.  Could go in many directions including HUS.

Chief has been bred selectively to date and has one Appendix triple dilute colt and one Quarab triple dilute colt. A 2012 foal is expected in Switzerland.  See Quarab Sport Horse prospect colt at Aur Sierra Magic.  Chief is featured in D. Phillip Sponenberg's Equine Color Genetics, Third Edition.  As the first color of his type, Dr. Sponenberg found Chief "...not remarkably pale".  With three dilute genes, he "maintained a brown base".

We have seen Chief look lavendar in early evening light which can be a chararistic of the champagne gene.  Tested UC Davis ataEeChchCrcrDd, he is truly a horse of a different color.
