TRAIL RIDES and RIDING LESSONS

Private Lessons are $55 per hour – CURRENT STUDENTS WILL STAY AT THIER REGULAR PRICES THROUGH 2023.  It drops to $45 once they are put into a group lesson of 3 or more. Safety is the most important lesson when dealing with horses.  Riders are taught to ride western and then progress to English and bareback.  Once they have the basics down and have a strong seat, other more advanced riding is taught.  Some days are full, but we will try to work with you and your schedule.

Joanne, Lydia, and Rachel – Instructors

Lydia Sellman and Rachel Johnk are the two instructors.  Joanne fills in or helps out when needed. All have extensive riding, training and show experience and are wonderful with children and adults alike.  Rachel is fluent in Spanish.  Ages range from 4 – 85 and we have several students that have gone on to show professionally.

SUMMER CAMP

Our focus in 2024 has shifted slightly from our past summer camps. We will be holding 3 day weekend camps (Teen Week is 5 days) at our farm that encourage participants to learn new skills and improve their overall horsemanship. By combining education, fun, and some healthy competition, our goal is to produce young people that have a passion for quality training of both the horses and riders alike.
These are daytime camps, held from 9 to 5. We provide lunch and snacks. Each day will include workshops that are tailored to the group’s skill level and interests, both through demonstrations and hands-on learning. Younger students will be able to handle basic manner training with the horses, learn to saddle on their own, navigate the obstacle course, and more. Older classes will enjoy more difficult exercises like teaching their horses to lead by the feet, hobble training, and more challenging maneuvers under saddle. Everyone will get a chance to sharpen their skills in the arena, as well as have fun on our shady trails. Saturday evening. at 4 p.m., we’ll have a show for family and friends of the riders.
We have limited enrollment and spots fill fast. First come, first serve basis. Riders are encouraged to bring their own horses if they have them. Board for personal horses will be added to the cost of the clinic. $50 for the week or $30 for 3 day camps.
Everyone must enroll via this email address:
